1. Developer and Contact

2. What FinAI Does

FinAI helps users track expenses, income credits, recurring payments, budgets, savings, goals, loans, credit cards, financial health scores, weekly reviews, financial statement imports, and AI finance coaching within the app.

3. Data We Collect or Process

  • Account data: email address, authentication identifier, and optional display name.
  • Financial app data: expenses, categories, amounts, dates, descriptions, tags, budget limits, income entries, savings entries, goal plans, loan and credit card records, debt mappings, recurring payment entries, financial health scores, weekly review summaries, and statement import results.
  • Uploaded files: financial statements selected by the user for analysis.
  • AI conversation data: questions sent to FinAI and responses generated for the user.
  • Technical data: basic app, browser, device, and server logs needed for security, diagnostics, and service operation.

4. How We Use Data

  • To provide sign-in, data storage, and sync.
  • To show dashboards, health scores, goals, debt views, history, budgets, recurring dues, weekly reviews, and notifications.
  • To analyze selected statements and categorize transactions after user review.
  • To provide finance-focused responses through FinAI.
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse, fix issues, and improve reliability.

5. Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell user personal data. Data may be processed by service providers used to operate the app, such as authentication/database hosting, serverless API hosting, AI processing, and native platform services. These providers process data only as needed to deliver app functionality.

6. AI Processing

When users request statement analysis or ask FinAI a question, selected financial context may be sent to an AI service provider to generate categorization, summaries, or finance guidance. FinAI is limited to personal finance support inside the app and is not legal, tax, medical, or investment-professional advice.

7. Notifications

FinAI may use local device notifications for budget alerts and recurring payment reminders. Notification permission is controlled by the user's device settings.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated database access, server-side API calls for AI features, transport encryption where supported, and restricted access to stored app records.

9. Retention and Deletion

User-entered financial records are retained while the account is active or until the user clears or deletes them. Users can clear tracked app data in the app settings. Users can also request account and associated data deletion using the instructions on the Data and Account Deletion page.

10. Children

FinAI is not intended for children under 13 and should not be used to submit a child's personal financial information.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The updated policy will show a new "Last updated" date.
